Our Past
We met serendipitously through Facebook Dating — one of those small digital coincidences that ends up changing everything.
Our early dates took us to Bonefish Grill, Copper Canyon Grill, and that “fancy” place I insisted on trying, the one we both agreed was overpriced and not nearly as impressive as advertised.
I remember the trips up to Owings Mills: cooking together, watching movies, laughing, philosophizing, praying, and sharing our stories. Our first Christmas preparations — shopping, wrapping gifts, planning — felt like the beginning of something real and rooted.
We supported each other through career transitions: your studying and preparing to become a Support Specialist for autistic and neurodivergent kids, and my transition out of my contract with Cherokee Federal supporting the USCG. Then came the season of setting up our home in Heron’s Cove — furniture, décor, routines, personal care items, and the slow, intentional building of a shared life.
I learned your Rivers State traditions and cuisine; you learned my family history. And then came Easter Day, 2024 — the proposal. After that, months of planning, excitement, invitations, and anticipation leading to our wedding on July 19th, 2024 — a day made legendary by the worldwide Microsoft/Crowdsource outage that forced us to hire an officiant on-the-fly just to keep things moving.
So much more followed: your year at Glenwood Elementary with all the stories about Cooper and Mr. Lavaro, who supported you so well. Then your move to CarMax, where you’ve absolutely shined as Lead Sales Consultant. I’m proud of you — deeply. You supported me through my role as Lead Programmer for the MOPD’s IT Division, and when that contract ended, you stood behind the formation of Auralicode, LLC. You’ve supported the entire build-out of the company — the website, the workflows, the models, the marketing — all the way to now, when Auralicode is ready for real client outreach and Sovereign SEO Architecture contracts for accessibility and modernization.
And of course, our Las Vegas trip — earned through your excellence at CarMax — was unforgettable. I loved every part of it, and I hope we go again. Traveling with you is one of the great joys of my life.
